Chicago 42 is a boutique Social Media agency supporting service-based businesses. We provide Marketing, Social Media Strategy & Management, and Facebook Ads for clients in a variety of niches.

We are hiring a Social Media Account Manager

We are looking for a social media manager to help us manage 3 to 5 accounts and eventually take over client-facing responsibilities.

If you are comfortable writing for different audiences and niches, such as real estate, wellness, or medical aesthetics, read on!

Role & Responsibilities

  • Brainstorm social media ideas

  • Create a content calendar for clients (write captions, create graphics)

  • Hashtag research

  • Communicate with scheduler and graphic designer and keep the flow running

  • proofread/edit captions and assess alignment with graphics

  • Communicate with manager and client for approvals

This role will require you to create and manage social media content for multiple accounts. We aim to work 3-weeks to a month ahead, to allow for review, updates, and approvals. But at times, clients will have last-minute requests or changes, and we are looking for someone who understands the realities of day-to-day business and is available for short-notice requests.

Tech & Systems

  • Airtable (which we can train you on)

  • Google Suite

  • Facebook Creator Suite or other scheduling tools

  • Canva

  • Asana

  • Adobe suite and video editing skills is a plus!

DETAILS

  • Ideal Start Date: November 1st , 2021

  • 5 hours/week to start

  • Native or near-native English speaker

  • Starting at $20/hour depending on experience

  • Commitment to a minimum of 9 months

  • Preferred location - anywhere as long as tasks are completed on time and can make a monthly team meeting. We run on Central Standard Time.
